Good morning, this is your Frigate NVR update for January 13th, 2026.
Blake Blackshear merged a pull request adding Synaptics support to the release workflow. This bugfix modifies the GitHub Actions release configuration to include Synaptics hardware in the build process.
Hawkeye217 merged changes to reduce the file size of documentation assets. The pull request compressed the Frigate auto-tracking example GIF in the docs directory, improving page load times without changing functionality.
Two additional commits landed in the repository. Josh Hawkins committed the documentation asset optimization, while Blake Blackshear committed the Synaptics release integration. Both changes went through the standard review process with one approval each.
Looking ahead: the Synaptics hardware support expands compatibility for users running specialized detection hardware, and the documentation improvements should provide faster access to visual guides. Development continues with focus on hardware compatibility and user experience optimization.
That's your Frigate NVR update for today.
