Good morning, I'm here with your Frigate NVR Updates for January 6th through 13th, 2026.

Twelve pull requests merged and ten additional commits this week.

**User Interface Improvements**

Multiple interface updates landed focusing on stability and internationalization. The MSE player received significant improvements, fixing WebSocket race conditions and Safari timeout issues. Authentication redirects now include guards to prevent React crashes during navigation. Icon management was enhanced with proper typing and default icons for audio events.

Internationalization saw continued progress with fixes for classification tags, system process information, and date formatting issues. Face library labels and GenAI threat level displays now properly support multiple languages.

**API and Backend Fixes**

The review API received a critical fix for the "reviewed" filter that wasn't applying correctly. Media synchronization logic was improved with better logging patterns and corrected file counting. The sync_recordings function now properly tracks checked files.

**Infrastructure and Documentation**

Synaptics support was added to the release workflow. Documentation updates included corrected alt text and proper capitalization throughout. A new Cloudflare Pages header prevents search engine indexing of development documentation.

GenAI functionality received multiple enhancements, including model name stripping before training, context size settings for OpenAI-compatible endpoints, and runtime options for LLM providers. Go2RTC configuration now pushes empty configs to prevent HomeKit errors.

**Dependencies and Performance**

Ollama was updated in the requirements. Documentation assets were optimized, reducing file sizes for better loading performance.

Next week expect continued work on the 0.17 beta release with additional stability improvements and feature refinements.
