The development team merged 20 pull requests with 30 additional commits yesterday, focusing heavily on integration improvements and dependency maintenance.
CFenner led activity on the ViCare integration with two major contributions. They merged PR 161608 adding inverter sensors for heat pumps, bringing over 4,000 lines of changes across test fixtures and sensor definitions. Earlier, they also added WiFi signal strength sensors for ViCare gateway devices in PR 161537.
Several dependency updates rolled in. Lash-L bumped Python-Roborock to version 4.7.2, while zerzhang updated PySwitchbot to its 1.0.0 release. CFenner also updated PyViCare to version 2.56.0 to support the new sensor features.
Bug fixes addressed real-world issues. The FRITZ!Box Tools integration saw improvements from mib1185 fixing internet access switch reliability, and torandreroland resolved SSID support for networks with spaces in the Adax integration.
Testing coverage expanded with chemelli74 achieving 100% test coverage for Fritz binary sensors, adding comprehensive snapshots and test cases.
Additional notable merges included wmoss improving OAuth2 error handling for the Ondilo ICO integration, starkillerOG adding pet chime ringtone controls for Reolink cameras, and michaeldavie updating the Environment Canada integration to handle recent data source changes.
Infrastructure updates saw go2rtc bumped to version 1.9.14 and bleak-esphome updated to 3.4.1 for improved Bluetooth and streaming functionality.
What's next: The ViCare integration continues expanding with heat pump capabilities, while the team maintains focus on reliability improvements across network-dependent integrations.
