Good morning. This is Home Assistant Daily for February 6th, 2026.

John O'Nolan merged the Ghost integration, adding support for the popular open-source publishing platform used by the Open Home Foundation newsletter. The integration allows monitoring of publication metrics including subscriber counts and post performance data.

Anders Ödlund merged dismiss protection for config flows, preventing discovery flows from being aborted when devices temporarily disappear during setup. This addresses issues where HomeKit controller pairing would fail with "Invalid flow specified" errors.

Denis Shulyaka merged support for OpenAI's new gpt-image-1.5 model in the conversation integration. Peter Grauvogel added timestamp sensors to the Green Planet Energy integration for tracking highest and lowest price periods during day and night cycles.

The development team processed significant code quality improvements today. Epenet merged multiple cleanup pull requests, including ternary expression cleanup across 77 files, removal of unnecessary parentheses in MQTT exception handling, and conversion to StrEnum in several components. These changes improve code consistency and maintainability.

Additional fixes included Brian Orally addressing data conversion issues in todo actions for the Todoist integration, and Matt Zimmerman adding missing configuration strings and parallel update constraints to the SmartTub platform.

Looking ahead: More code quality improvements are expected as part of ongoing ruff linting integration, and the Ghost integration sets the stage for additional publishing platform support.

That's your Home Assistant Daily briefing. We'll be back tomorrow with more updates.
