Good morning, it's October 11th, 2026, and this is Navidrome Daily.
The pattern across yesterday's activity is quiet correctness failures, where the server stored or returned the wrong data without an error.
First, playlist integrity. Two fixes from Deluan close gaps in how tracks and artwork are handled. In pull request 6313, adding tracks to a playlist skipped the existence check when the user could see all libraries. Unknown IDs were saved as orphan rows, inflated the added count in the native API, and left invisible…
Second, discovery and client compatibility. Pull request 6314 from Yurisxx reorders similar-song recommendations for tracks to put external track-level results first, then the artist-based fallback, ahead of the local genre-based agent. That prevents unrelated genre results from preempting a more relevant artist…
What's next: if you maintain clients or tests, verify playlist adds with invalid IDs, cover generation after first open of a smart playlist, likes-based rating round trips, and fallback behavior when external similarity is empty.
That's today's briefing.
