Good morning, it's Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, and this is Navidrome Daily.

There's no broad pattern across the codebase today — just a single, high-signal packaging fix for Linux installs.

The focus is pull request sixty-three sixty-four, opened today by santhiprakash, aimed at install warnings first reported in issue sixty-three sixty.

On SELinux enforcing systems, including Fedora forty-four, installing the RPM package creates the dedicated service account, and that step triggers a security denial.

The system account tool by default tries to copy generic startup files into the application's data folder. Because that folder uses a different security label, the security system blocks the write. The install still finishes, but users see an alert, and the copied file is never actually created.

The proposed fix is simple: tell the account tool to skip that automatic copy during setup.
