Good morning, this is Home Assistant Daily for January 13th, 2026.
It-rec merged a fix for missing state class to SolarEdge, adding proper state classes so SolarEdge entities now appear correctly in Home Assistant's energy section selections. The change affects the SolarEdge sensor component with 13 lines added.
Twenty additional commits were merged yesterday, focusing heavily on dependency updates and integration improvements. Artem Draft added SSL support to the Bravia TV integration, while mettolen introduced button entities to the Airobot integration with new vacuum control capabilities. The Xbox integration received stale device removal functionality from Manu, and epenet cleaned up default options in Tuya DeviceWrapper.
Several library updates were also merged: uiProtect bumped to version 8.0.0, pyTibber to 0.34.1, and the conversation intents library to 2026.1.6. Bram Kragten updated the frontend to version 20251229.1, and the SolarLog CLI dependency was bumped to 0.7.0.
Tuya integration saw additional diagnostic improvements with report type information now included in diagnostics data.
What's next: Energy dashboard users should see improved SolarEdge entity availability, and Bravia TV users can now configure SSL connections for enhanced security.
That's your Home Assistant Daily briefing.
