Good morning. This is Home Assistant Daily for March 30th, 2026.
We processed twelve merged pull requests yesterday, focusing heavily on library updates and device compatibility improvements.
pedroterzero merged support for the Tuya D825A dehumidifier, adding comprehensive test fixtures across seven files. This expands compatibility with Tuya's smart home devices.
cyberhuman addressed a significant Matter integration issue, allowing thermostats with null local temperature values. This fix resolves compatibility problems with certain Matter-compliant thermostats that don't always report local temperature data.
Several library updates landed: mletenay updated the goodwe library to version 0.4.10, fixing signed integer overflows and adding support for newer inverters. The knx-frontend was updated to version 2026.3.28.223133, weatherflow4py bumped to 1.5.2, and aiosolaredge updated to 1.0.2.
jterrace made organizational changes to the ONVIF integration, renaming the event module to event_manager to prevent conflicts with the upcoming event platform, and removing an inactive maintainer from the code ownership.
Additional maintenance work included updates to the Fritz integration's quality scale configuration and cleanup of unused strings in the HTML5 integration. arturpragacz fixed a task cancellation issue in the Onkyo integration that was causing lingering background tasks.
What's next: These library updates should improve stability for solar inverter monitoring and weather station integrations. The Matter thermostat fix addresses a common connectivity issue reported by users.
That's your Home Assistant development update for March 30th. I'm back tomorrow.
