Good morning, I'm your host with Home Assistant Daily for February 15th, 2026.
Andrew Jackson merged a new get_account service for the Mastodon integration, expanding social media automation capabilities. Brett Adams added island_status and grid_status sensors to the Tessie integration, providing better Tesla energy site monitoring with grid connection states and power status indicators.
Josef Zweck implemented reauth flows for both OneDrive for Business and standard OneDrive integrations, improving authentication reliability. Christian Lackas added support for the ELV-SH-SMSI soil moisture sensor in the HomematicIP Cloud integration, creating new soil moisture and temperature sensors for garden monitoring.
Paul Kolbus added battery percentage sensors to the WeatherFlow integration. The team also made several precision improvements - HomematicIP absolute humidity sensors now use suggested display precision instead of rounding, and Miele added washer-dryer support to TwinDos compatibility.
Dmitry Shulyaka fixed intent result logging in conversation handling, ensuring failed commands are properly saved to chat logs when local command processing is enabled. Kevin Eifinger corrected the default value for DurationSelector's allow_negative parameter.
Three dependency updates shipped today: pypck bumped to 0.9.11 for LCN integration, pysmlight updated to 0.2.14 adding support for SLZB-Ultima3 devices, and thermopro-ble upgraded to 1.1.3.
Frenck led a significant CI security hardening effort, restricting permissions across six GitHub workflows including stale, lock, CodeQL, and translations workflows.
Additional commits included Alexa Devices air quality monitor sensors, Homevolt quality scale updates with new zeroconf support, and enhanced Hikvision binary sensor descriptions.
What's next: Watch for the HomematicIP soil sensor rollout and improved OneDrive authentication flows. The CI security improvements should enhance repository safety.
That's your Home Assistant Daily update. Back tomorrow with more development news.
