Good morning. This is Home Assistant Daily for February 22nd, 2026.

Yesterday saw significant activity with 20 merged pull requests and 22 additional commits, primarily focused on integration classification improvements.

Joost Lekkerkerker led a comprehensive effort to add integration type classifications, merging 13 pull requests that categorize integrations as device, service, or hub types. This affects integrations including Volumio, Vilfo, Venstar, V2C, Twinkly, UptimeRobot, UpCloud, Ukraine Alarm, Twilio, Twitch, VLC Telnet, Vivotek, Vallox, Vera, Uhoo, and VegeHub. These changes improve organization and user experience in the integration management interface.

Luke Lashley merged a significant feature enhancement adding clean area support to Roborock V1 vacuums. This update extends room-specific cleaning capabilities to older vacuum models, bringing them closer to feature parity with newer devices.

Several dependency updates were also merged. Christopher Fenner bumped PyViCare to version 2.58.0, updating the ViCare integration with the latest upstream improvements. Tim Laing updated pyicloud to version 2.4.1, addressing issue 162852. Ludovic Boué bumped python-roborock to 4.15.0, providing the latest Roborock integration improvements.

What's next: The integration type classification work appears to be part of a larger effort to improve Home Assistant's integration management system. Watch for continued dependency updates as maintainers keep third-party libraries current.

That's your Home Assistant Daily update. We'll be back tomorrow with the latest developments.
