Good morning, it's July 8th, 2026, and this is Godot Daily.

Today's biggest signal is security and platform compatibility converging at once. Two separate mbedTLS updates landed: PR 121050 bumps master to mbedTLS 4.1.1, while PR 121055 backports mbedTLS 3.6.7 specifically to the 4.7 maintenance branch. Both are labeled as containing security fixes, and Faless notes the 3.6.7…

The second theme is platform minimums catching up to reality. Bruvzg's PR 121030 raises macOS and iOS minimum versions to fix builds under Xcode 27, and calls out that Apple Silicon Macs running older macOS versions have actually been broken since a change back in a prior release cycle. A smaller but related thread: compilation correctness. PR 121026 fixes a build failure in character body 2D when deprecated code is disabled, and PR 109312 from Repiteo extends warnings-as-errors at the linker level for non-MSVC toolchains, tightening what counts as a clean build going forward.

On the editor side, worth noting: PR 115346 extracted the document outline from the script editor for maintainability, and PR 121019 fixes item list focus styling that had been subtly wrong.
