Good morning, this is your Frigate NVR Updates briefing for February 6th, 2026.

Yesterday saw four merged pull requests addressing installation, bug fixes, and maintenance improvements.

Pops0n merged updated Hailo installation instructions and script, implementing significant changes to support both Bookworm and Trixie OS on Raspberry Pi 5 devices. The update addresses previous driver mismatch issues that affected fresh installations and includes an optional fix for PCIe descriptor page size errors. This addresses multiple user-reported issues including numbers 19481, 19531, 20062, 20621, and 21177.

NickM-27 merged a critical fix for events getting stuck in processing. The issue occurred when retention settings caused the system to only check current clips and snapshots, preventing proper event completion. The fix ensures events can properly conclude regardless of retention configuration.

ZhaiSoul merged an internationalization fix for delete zone functionality, correcting missing translation keys in the web interface settings panel.

NickM-27 also merged a logging adjustment, changing a log level from standard to debug in the custom classification processing module to reduce console noise.

What's next: These fixes should improve Raspberry Pi Hailo-8 setup reliability and resolve event processing bottlenecks. Users experiencing installation issues or stuck events should see immediate improvements after updating.

That's your Frigate NVR update for today.
