Welcome to Agora Next Updates for February 22nd through March 1st, 2026. Four pull requests were merged with four additional commits this week.

**Features**

The largest update came from Pedro Fernandes with raw markdown input functionality for forums. This 424-line addition spans 10 files, introducing an unpublished topic gate system and significantly enhancing the markdown textarea input component. The changes affect both forum articles and proposal drafts, with new client-side handling and improved content rendering through the Duna editor.

**Fixes**

Aarna Arora addressed design issues in the optimistic standard proposal display, reworking the OptimisticTieredProposalVotesCard component. The fix involved substantial refactoring with 310 lines added and 218 removed, focusing on improving the presentation of proposal voting cards for Optimism governance.

**Infrastructure**

Logo updates dominated infrastructure changes this week. Sabrina updated logos for Towns and Syndicate tenants, converting Towns from SVG to PNG format and streamlining both Syndicate and Uniswap logos. However, Jefag immediately reverted and redid the Uniswap logo changes, suggesting the initial updates required adjustment.

The additional commits mirror the merged pull requests, indicating clean integration without conflicts. The logo changes affect tenant configurations across multiple UI components, maintaining consistent branding for the various governance platforms using Agora Next.

The markdown input enhancement represents a significant user experience improvement, allowing forum contributors to work directly with raw markdown rather than relying solely on rich text editors. This change, combined with the unpublished topic gate system, suggests improved content management workflows.

The proposal votes card fix addresses visual inconsistencies that may have affected user comprehension of voting data in Optimism governance proposals.

Next week, we'll monitor for any follow-up adjustments to the new markdown system and logo implementations. Development activity continues to focus on user interface refinements and governance workflow improvements.

That's your Agora Next update for this week.
