Good morning, it's Monday, October 19th, 2026.
The headline: the team's automated improvement workflow is now delivering measurable gains, with one test suite dropping from over five seconds to under 150 milliseconds with no tests lost.
That result comes from the new R S I skill, built out over the past day. The initial version, in P R 1465, defined strict rules: run a fixed number of measured loops, keep an edit only if an external metric beats the best by more than the noise margin, and the holdout check doesn't get worse. Evaluation work then…
The payoff landed in P R 1473. Four loops were kept on the remote sandbox test, cutting runtime from 5,186 milliseconds to 149 milliseconds. For developers, that means faster local iteration and C I feedback, with the disconnect wait still defaulting to five seconds but now configurable.
In a second theme, Pi tooling got two reliability fixes. P R 1478 enables terminal clipboard forwarding only in interactive Herdr shells, respecting any explicit user setting, which resolves the X eleven clipboard error. A separate open change would pin Pi Tasks from version 0.7 to 0.9.1 to remove the TypeBox…
Finally, commit 481bead published release…
