Yesterday brought significant development activity with six merged pull requests and eight additional commits focused on AI capabilities and user experience improvements.

Nicolas Mowen merged the major GenAI camera monitoring feature, adding support for looping GenAI processes to continuously monitor camera feeds. This 670-line addition includes a new VLM watch job and enhanced web push notifications, marking a substantial expansion of Frigate's AI capabilities.

Josh Hawkins merged comprehensive settings UI tweaks, modifying 26 files with over 500 lines of changes. The update improves GenAI provider selection, adds role-based widgets, and enhances mobile interface layouts with better button stacking and profile pane spacing.

Mowen also merged various system tweaks including API documentation updates with over 2700 lines of changes to the OpenAPI specification, and an FFmpeg update to version 7.1 with cleanup of unused presets.

Hawkins contributed additional tweaks improving the motion search interface and updating contributing documentation to include Weblate translation guidelines.

Additional commits included a process watchdog improvement for automatic subprocess monitoring and restart capabilities, and dynamic vision chat enhancements for better live context image handling.
