Yesterday saw substantial progress on internationalization efforts. Raivis Dejus merged pull request 1380, delivering translation improvements that addressed issue 1026. This comprehensive update modified 27 files with over 1300 additions, touching locale files for Catalan, Danish, German, English, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Latvian, and numerous other language variants. The changes updated message catalogs across the entire internationalization system.
Following that, Dejus merged a second pull request, number 1382, which added translations to the transcriber components themselves. This smaller but targeted change modified both the recording transcriber and whisper file transcriber modules, resolving issues 1381 and 1375. The update ensures that user-facing messages in the core transcription functionality are now properly internationalized.
Both commits were integrated into the main branch, with the version file receiving an update as part of the broader translation overhaul. The Makefile also saw minor adjustments to support the new translation workflow.
